PLEASE MR. POSTMAN presenta una versión doble de John Lennon con George y Paul como apoyo vocal. ROLL OVER BEETHOVEN de Chuck Berry ha sido uno de los temas más solicitados en los conciertos recientes de los Beatles. El resultado es un verdadero tema para raver titulado I WANNA BE YOUR MAN. El órgano Hammond de fondo lo toca John Lennon.
Aunque son menos conocidos en nuestro lado del Atlántico que The Crystals o The Shirelles, el grupo estadounidense de chicas The Donays siempre se ha ganado mucho respeto profesional por parte de los Beatles. Por lo tanto, cambiaron la letra de DEVIL IN HER HEART y le entregaron esta propuesta de ritmo medio a George Harrison. John y Paul proporcionan la armonía con Ringo usando sus maracas.
La composición final de Lennon/McCartney de esta sesión presenta una doble John Lennon cantó NOT A SECOND TIME. La obra de piano de George Martin aparece en este número y de nuevo en el tema de cierre del programa, MONEY. Paul describe MONEY como “un tema realmente estridente” y recuerda las numerosas ocasiones en el Cavern Club en las que este tema provocó el mismo tipo de respuesta abrumadora que Twist and Shout. Grabada en gran medida por comerciantes del blues estadounidense, MONEY tiene a John cantando la letra cruda con tremenda fuerza y sentimiento, mientras que George y Paul aportan las respuestas.
MONEY es un clímax completamente digno para este programa espectacular. Espero que no te deje demasiado sin aliento como para volver a la cara uno para una sesión de repetición With The Beatles.

With The Beatles se lanzó en el Reino Unido el 22 de noviembre de 1963. En el tiempo transcurrido desde el lanzamiento de su álbum debut en marzo, los Beatles habían dominado la escena pop británica. Please Please Me encabezó la lista de álbumes durante siete meses, Twist And Shout se convirtió en el EP más vendido del año y tres sencillos alcanzaron el número uno: «Please Please Me» (en la mayoría de las listas), «From Me To You» y «She Loves You». La agenda de trabajo de los Beatles a lo largo de 1963 fue implacable, con más de doscientos conciertos por todo el país, docenas de programas de radio y televisión y su primera gira internacional en Suecia.

With The Beatles tardó más en hacerse que el álbum anterior Please Please Me, pero, aun así, sus catorce canciones se grabaron en solo 28 horas repartidas en seis días. Las sesiones con George Martin se encajaron en la agitada agenda de 1963 de los Beatles, entre el 18 de julio y el 23 de octubre.
Al igual que con sus discos anteriores, todas las canciones se grabaron en máquinas de cinta de doble pista y la sobregrabación reveló con frecuencia los inconvenientes de esa tecnología. La necesidad de más pistas fue particularmente evidente durante la grabación de 'Money'. Sobre grabación usando una cinta de doble pista lo cual se logró copiando la primera grabación a otra cinta y, al mismo tiempo, añadiendo más instrumentos o voces. 'Money' requirió que este proceso se repitiera una vez más en una tercera cinta. Pero antes de que se completara el álbum, una sesión para su próximo sencillo marcó el comienzo de una nueva fase del trabajo de estudio de los Beatles. Además de las sobre grabaciones vocales e instrumentales adicionales para el álbum, hubo otra razón para el segundo álbum. Con su confianza creciendo en el estudio, si por el mayor tiempo dedicado al álbum. Pensaban que su interpretación podía mejorarse o que podría beneficiarse de un nuevo arreglo, abandonaban una grabación después de varias tomas y comenzaban de nuevo en otra ocasión. A medida que su música progresaba y el tiempo en el estudio se hacía más abundante, las regrabaciones de los Beatles eran mucho más frecuentes.
